Please Attend the Wyoming Game & Fish Commission Meeting! WHEN: September 8-9, 2003, the Wyoming Game & Fish Commission will consider a number of issues that will determine the future for Wyoming's wildlife and wild places. Meeting
times: Monday, September 8, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM WHERE:
Wyoming Game & Fish Regional Office WHAT: The Commission will consider the following issues: Animal Damage Management Board proposals; in-stream flow decision from the Attorney General (if received by meeting date); migration corridors for mule deer and pronghorn in the Upper Green River Valley; property rights; predator compensation programs; chronic wasting disease update; and the wolf information and education budget. WHY: Public involvement at all Commission meetings is critical! Commission meetings are usually heavily attended by agriculture and outfitting industry interests, but not by citizen and conservation interests. When the loudest voices commissioners hear are from these special interests, those groups get their agenda more heavily supported, simply because they show up. Attending the meeting will send a message to the commissioners that sound, scientific stewardship of Wyoming's wildlife and wild places is important to all the people of Wyoming. Getting involved in commission meetings is also a great way to meet other like-minded people, while getting to know your Game and Fish commissioners. If you attend, please introduce yourself to any of the commissioners, the director or staff who attend these meetings. Let them know you appreciate their dedication to Wyoming's wildlife. A kind word is something Department personnel, as well as commissioners, need to hear from the conservation community. Let the commission hear your voice! (If you cannot attend, please contact one of the organizers listed below about filing formal or informal written comments.) For
