Platte River Fly Shop
Seen on ESPN2 and PBS Outdoor programs, this fly shop
is one of Wyoming's premiere shops, and a must stop destination for
all anglers wanting the latest information on hatches, conditions, and
the right equipment before they head out to explore the waters of Central
Wyoming. Notorious as catch and release fishermen, most of the folks
at the shop are also conservation oriented, as their livelihood depends
on the health and vitality of not only the river that they ply their
trade on, but of the environment as a whole. Active in Wyoming Fly Casters,
these folks helped bring about the Cardwell Fishing Access, and through
that, helped restore several miles of barren river bottom back to life,
and to what will most assuredly be a blue ribbon fisherey in a few years.
Stop by and check out their turn of the century shop, formerly two one
room schoolhouses from the Arminto area, and the 1st building to be
on the register of historic places in Natrona County, and get the latest
fishing report from the river.

little more bearable. A
fountain of information that will make even the seasoned angler a little
wiser, Flyfisherman online has past and present patterns to tie, as
well as informative articles and hot spots to dream about.
The Continental Divide Trail Society
The Continental Divide Trail Society has been working
since 1978 to create and improve the Continental Divide National Scenic
Trail -- nearly 3000 miles through the Rocky Mountains from Canada to
Mexico. The Society's mission is to help in the planning, development,
and maintenance of the CDT as a silent trail and to assist users plan
and enjoy their experiences along the route. The Society is a grassroots
organization, with about 250 members in nearly every State and several
foreign countries. It is funded entirely by membership support and sales
of books and maps. The Society, which does not seek or obtain grants
from governmental agencies or foundations, is an independent advocate
and resource for the hikers of today and tomorrow.
